At Cofactor, we understand that sequencing data alone does not provide the answers that can lead to breakthrough discoveries or publications. It requires a keen understanding of how best to design an experiment, how to sequence and on what platforms, how to best construct useful libraries for your application, and of course, apply the analysis and bioinformatics to understand it all in the context of your work.
As part of Cofactor’s D&A Solution, we offer expert design advice prior to running any samples. Why is this important? Just like a contractor following an architectural design when building a house, we have found that by paying attention to a well-thought-out plan for sequencing is worth its weight in gold. Bioinformatics properly used up front and in the analysis portion of an experiment can minimize error rates and provide more useful data.
Based on our extensive Next-Gen experience and working with low sequencing minimums, Cofactor can provide you one run composed of multiple experiments or multiple samples. We take the guesswork out of figuring out what platform to utilize for a particular sequencing goal. With over 20 years of Next-Gen sequencing expertise, Cofactor offers truly professional advice to allow you to push the boundaries of science and stay competitive by making the leap from genes and markers to genomics, systems biology, and population genomics.
In recent years, there has been an explosion in the types of sequencing applications and platforms available. Thus, it would be impossible for us to provide an exhaustive price list for each of the 800+ sequencing projects we have completed. That’s why we customize each and every quote to ensure that you get the absolute best value to meet your needs.
Cofactor employs well documented and referenced alignment and assembly algorithms. We have bioinformaticians on staff who will help guide you through the analysis data for your project. The analysis pipelines bundled with standard pricing include:
SNP and indel detection
De novo assembly
RNA expression
miRNA expression
Non-mapping reads assembly
ChIP-sequencing
RIP-sequencing
Bisulfite Analysis
Alternative Splicing
Targeted Capture
Custom Capture
Since we employ our own bioinformaticians, we are able to design, code, and build novel analysis pipelines to meet the needs of our clients. If you find that you require answers to your scientific questions that off-the-shelf analysis programs do not provide, please contact us to discuss your needs.
At Cofactor Genomics, we are committed to delivering timely and accurate quotes customized to each researcher’s project. We can accommodate a variety of library types, sequencing platforms, read formats, data analysis options, and time-lines, and have different prices for all of these variables. Therefore, to facilitate an accurate and timely quote, we encourage researchers to provide as much information upfront regarding their research and project goals as possible. If we need more information to provide pricing, we will follow up promptly. In many instances, it is not uncommon for us to provide multiple pricing estimates for multiple options as we work with a researcher to establish the best solution for their project.
Rush = the solution if you have limited time to meet your grant application deadline or product development milestone. This priority service places you on the next run no matter what, with cut-in-line analysis and a short guaranteed turnaround time of as little as two weeks (depending on the exact scale of your project and instrument cycles). Contact us for a quote.
Standard Economy = Our Standard Economy option places you next in the queue with an average lead time of ~8 weeks. Below is an example of a typical timeline (Contact us for a quote):
Super Saver = If you need the lowest price and are not on a deadline, the Super Saver price ensures your sample will be run and analyzed in a maximum of 16 weeks. Your sample will be run when we have available space but you will have to wait no longer than 16 weeks for your results. Contact us for a quote.
Partner Pricing = Cofactor partners with institutions and corporate clients to provide more value to their research and product development pipelines. If you can make a commitment to us, we are willing to make a commitment to you. For contract projects, master service agreements, or preferred service provider contracts, we offer set pricing and turnaround on every project. In addition, we tell you exactly what we will provide and for what price. This helps institutions budget and plan for upcoming experiments. If you have samples to run on a constant basis (ex. every week or every month), please contact us and let us tell you how we can help you accomplish your goals by using our partner service.
